DC#322- "Trying Aquafleur" and something more

This week the DIVA challenged us to use the original ZT tangle "Aquafleur". This tangle was one of the very first I met at the beginning of my tangling life. I am sure you can imagine that I was not really successful at that time... so I lost it from my focus for a long time. Thank you, Laura Harms, for this motivation to try it again... and what an inspiration!
I decided for a (nearly) monotangle, and hat a beautiful time with it. I added some Printemps in graphite and a Florz background.

This tangle I started after I saw a beautful tangle by Rick Roberts in the Zentangle Mosaic App. He was inspired by Emi during the last CZT seminar in Providence.
I do not know the name of the tangle in the upper right side , but I liked it and tried it with a zipper effect ... all the other tangles , Shattuck, Verve, Tipple.... came along when I came in the flow...

Last but not least I would like to show you what Annette (aka Lonetta) sent me last week.
It is a tangle Mosaic which she created out of my three contribution tiles to her Tangle Mosaic Project #8 . If you follow the link you can find the complete mosaic of all contributions. Awesome!!

Adele Bruno`s IAST#200 with her new tangle C-Perfs

This week Adele Bruno is celebrating the 200th anniversary of her IAST (It`s a String Thing) Challenge!
It is a weekly challenge and that means, that this challenge has been existing for almost 4 years, with many participants from all over the world every week and with a great success.
I remember #100 and #150 and realize how the time is running.
Zentangle became a very important part in my daily life and I can not imagine to miss it.
Congratulaton, Adele, and a big Thankyou for all the efforts on your "Tickled To Tangle" blog!
For this challenge Adele published her tangle "C-Perfs", a very simple one , with lots of possibilities. Lovely!

This is my contribution to IAST#200, based on Adeles special and beautiful string which she posted here

Here I played a bit with C-Perfs in my calendar:

During the last days I had a little time for my calendar, which has some empty pages in June, unfortunately. Hopefully I can continue it from now on...
I tried some new tangles, I enjoyed it very much!

DC#321 "Non Dominant- Aura Challenge"

This week`s challenge is a double challenge.
The task is to create a tile with an aura tangle ant to daw it with our non dominant hand .

This is an interesting challenge for me. Which is my non dominant hand? Difficult to say.

Normally, I am left handed. Most normal things I do with the left hand: playing badminton, tennis, bowling, tooth brushing and similar things.... using tools like a hammer or a drill and knives, needles...

But all things you need special left hander- tools for (scissors, music instruments) I use the right hand.
And when I was a child it was usual to train left handers to write with the "right" hand, to eat "right" .
So I am fifty:fifty handed ;-)
Normally I draw right handed, but for shading I use both hands: pencil in the one, torillon in the other hand ...

So this time I drew consequently with my left hand. Interesting was, that I was more focussed and drew much more slowly than with the right one. 'Especially for the auras I needed some extra concentration to get them...
So I had a very intensive drawing experience- thanks, Laura!!
The result looks like Auraknot, but I did not draw Auraknot!! I started with Tripoli and added inner auras and lateron I added outer aura lines like Arukas... Very interesting as well !!

DC #319 (BEad inspired)) and #320 (UMT Dansk), and travelling tiles

I am back at home from my holidays and I have stumbeled in my daily life again.

During my holidays I did some tangling but not as much as I am used to do and so I am looking forward to draw a bit more during the next weeks. Only the last three days since we came home were horribly packed with things....
My first blogpost after the holidays is collecting some tiles I started on my knees, at the beach or within some breaks.
As I do not miss a DIVA challenge I finished that one which I started last week yesterday.
"Beads of Courage" is an arts in medicine program that helps children with chronic or life threatening illness tell the story of their medical journey.

This is my second participation at a "Beads of Courage" - challenge.
I had only a black and pink pen and a pencil when I drew this tile, but I had a tile with a stripe of Washi tape representing the word "LOVE"... so I decided that this was the perfect background for this challenge, because Love is the greatest gift we can give to the children and especially to thos who have to fight against illness.

This Monday the DIVA started the next UMT (Use My Tangle) challenge.
This week she chose the tangle "Dansk" which was created by Margaret Bremner, a Canadian CZT I admire a lot.
As if I knew it before I drew during my last days at the Sea a tile where I used "Dansk". I finished it yesterday, just right to post it here for the DIVA Challenge.
I combined "Dansk" with some "Verve", "Sandswirl" and "Namaste".

I would like to show some travelling tiles, which I swapped with Sabrina Stein, CZT.

Those two she sent me and I finished them:

And these two were started by myself and finished by Sabrina.
I gave her the "challenge" to use Washi tape prepared tiles. I was curious what she will create with them... Look, it`s so cute:

I am really happy with the results of all these tiles and hat a lot of fun. Thank you so much, Sabrina!!

My calendar project a lot of empty spaces meanwhile as it is really very time consuming.I hope to create some more daily tangles during the next weeks .
Here is my latest complete calendar page:

Some more holiday tangles

During the last days I  continued my experiments with washi tape on Zentangle tiles.
The first results I published here on my blog.
It is an interesting thing to combine the patterns of the tapes with the tangles or even to use the tapes as strings.
I used vey different types of tapes and surely will continue this because I have a lot of fun with this technique.

On this tile I used the tape as stencil before coloring the tile
And removed the tape before drawing

DC318: Diptych, and some of my holiday tangles

What an interesting DIVA Challenge this week!! We should draw a diptych tangle this week!
I saw such tles already on the Zentangle homepage but I did not try one until now.
This is one reason wh I love to take part at EVERY DIVA challenge... there is so much new to explore and to learn what I would never think about...

As basic tangle I used "2V" , a very new one from Linda Farmers page

During my recent holidays, which we spend in South France I have some time to tangle in the evenings or at the beach.
Last week we visited the ancient Pope Palace in Avignon. There I saw .... tangles, tangles...everywhere!!

One highlight were some floor tiles from the 15th century. I took some photos and drew the patterns of the tiles as fragments in my calendar. Look... all three days are created this way, what a beautiful reminder to my holidays!

As I have been asked for , I created a stepout for the middle one and called it "AVI" :

Here are some fotos of the original tiles from the palace:

Some more holida tangles and my experiments with the washi tapes youcan read here on my next post
